My life has always revolved around people. No matter what industry, it was not the product that inspired me but the people I came into contact with. When arriving in the US, I found myself in a unique situation where I could fill my days with whatever passion I chose and I gravitated toward health and fitness. It was a life changing and wondrous adventure. I hope to share this journey with those that I come into contact and aspire to make a difference to their present and future living.

I have been working in the health and fitness industry since 1997. Yet, I have been involved in sport and fitness since the age of 7. I have found my strengths lie in water and land group fitness teaching but could not ignore the calling to become a personal trainer. I strive to continue learning, developing and growing in all areas of mind, body and spirit. I began Pilates Mat fourteen years ago have loved what it has done for my health and well being. Now I am teaching Pilates equipment and love to share the joy this work brings.

I find myself loving every type of group fitness class imaginable also swimming, boogie boarding, golf and tennis. I love anything Italian, traveling, cooking, family and friends. But, my true joy in life is to search out and find anyone willing to have a chat.

Jen Delaney

Jen is a licensed physical therapist, and is certified in NKT (neurokinetic therapy), Myofascial Cupping and Pilates and Yoga, both of which she has practiced for years. She "discovered" pilates and yoga years ago as both healing and transformative for injuries she had undergone, and invites her clients to explore wellness through that mind-body-spirit connection. Jen has a unique, personalized approach to teaching, supported by extensive graduate level studies, which involves thorough assessment of her clients and customized fitness strategies that build strength, postural awareness, and flexibility. Jen teaches at MPY and on the peninsula and sees patients privately to address functional mobility challenges, injuries and pain. Jen's patients and clients have described her best as "the muscle whisperer." Athletically, she has excelled in competitive swimming, rowing and triathlons. She enjoys spending time with friends, her dog Tucker, exploring the environs, hiking and dining out. Jen's mantra is: Motion is lotion; lotion to the body, mind and spirit."

Elaine Sang

Elaine Sang is a PMA™-certified Pilates Teacher and ACE-certified group fitness instructor whose focus is helping students to move with greater awareness, ease, and efficiency inside and outside of class. Her thirteen years as a competitive swimmer and lengthy experience with various forms of dance, yoga, aerobics, and strength training inform her teaching. Elaine has specialized training in TRX, functional movement, OhioHealth Delay the Disease™ exercise program for people with Parkinson's disease, gait mechanics, and Pilates for youth, as well as clinical experience with acute care, maternity, pediatric, and geriatric populations. Her hope is for students to leave class feeling taller, stronger, and longer, as well as more balanced in body, mind, and spirit.

This Pilates class uses small equipment including the "magic circle," foam rollers, blocks, therapy balls, and hand-held weights to deepen engagement of the core and postural muscles and challenge core stability. Get a balanced workout from head to toe, increasing strength, mobility, flexibility, tone and improving posture.
